This is not your ordinary remix album. The artists, who include,
Daedelus, Child’s View (Nobukazu Takemura), Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Koen Holtkamp (Mountains), Build An Ark, and Coffee
& Cigarettes Band, have taken the original tracks by Turn On The Sunlight (Carlos Niño and Jesse Peterson) and
taken them deeper into unexpected dream-like territories. Be it the multilayered transcendental string work of Miguel
Atwood-Ferguson or Child’s View lost sound track to an old home movie, the warmth comes blazing through. Daedelus
contributes a wonderfully hovering and blissed-out addition as the offering from Koen Holtkamp slowly churns in a psychedelic
swirl. There are plenty of twists and turns as Build An Ark travels out in a group improvisation reminiscent of Sun Ra’s
late 70’s work and Coffee & Cigarettes Band takes a laid back deep groove approach to help round out the album.
