An instrumental excursion
into the emotions of heartfelt happiness and stirring sorrow, Jessica Pavone breaks new musical ground with “Army of
Strangers”. In structure “Army of Strangers” is decidedly a rock orientated album with the openness
of improv and warmth of instrumentation by Pete Fitzpatrick, guitar; Jonti Siman, bass guitar; Harris Eisenstadt, drums and
Jessica Pavone, viola/violin. An active performer in New York City for the past decade, Jessica Pavone has been leading her
own bands, has performed in ensembles led by Anthony Braxton, Matthew Welch, Jason Cady and Jeremiah Cymerman, as well as
such collective groups as the Mary Halvorson/Jessica Pavone Duo and The Thirteenth Assembly, and receives commissions to compose
chamber music regularly.
