On April 27th 2010, Jocelyn Noir of the experimental-folk-pop group ALAK and boyfriend Daniel Trudeau of
the self proclaimed genre hillbilly-savant-electronica project PREGNANT, gave birth to their daughter Juniper. Not wanting
to give into parenthood's lulls, the two musicians have decided to press on and continue writing music for the willing ear.
ALAK's music delivers sincere vocals with a lo-fi Beefheart-ish consistency while PREGNANT's high pitched male vocals amid
his tasteful sample driven electronics and production, produce a euphoric shroud of sound. This split release, entitled "TRADITION",
is called so to commemorate the musicians going on a full month long U.S. tour with their now one year old daughter. The tour
will involve a stop at every show to place their daughter’s hands in paint and make a "memory map" of all
the places they’ve seen along the way. “TRADITION” will include older songs either released or unreleased
and will include new songs made especially for this split album.
